Convert your ING bank statement PDF to CSV
Living or running a business in the Netherlands with an ING account? Then you've probably downloaded your statements as PDFs, only to realise you need the numbers in a spreadsheet. Statement Converter turns an ING Nederland PDF statement into a clean CSV or Excel file, and checks that every cent adds up.
How it works
- Download your statement. In Mijn ING or the ING app, download the statement as a PDF.
- Upload it. Drop the file into Statement Converter. One PDF at a time, up to 4 MB and 50 pages.
- Check the numbers. You get an editable table of all transactions. The balance check compares them to the statement balance and catches differences down to the cent.
- Export. Download as XLSX for Excel or as a Dutch-format CSV.
Why not just copy and paste?
Copying from a PDF scrambles columns, drops signs on amounts and gives you dates your spreadsheet misreads. Worse, you won't notice a missing line until your totals don't match. Statement Converter reads the statement as a table and the balance check shows straight away whether everything is there.
Useful for expats and freelancers
ING statements are in Dutch, which can slow you down if you're still learning the language. Once your transactions are in a spreadsheet, you can sort, filter and annotate them however you like, whether for budgeting, your accountant or your tax return. Try Suggest categories for a first pass: simple keyword matching proposes a category for each transaction, and you can edit any of them before exporting.
Your data stays private
Your PDF is processed in memory and discarded right after conversion. Nothing from your statement is stored or logged. There are no accounts; a cookie only remembers that your browser has used its free conversion.
Limits and pricing
- The PDF needs selectable text, like the statements you download directly from ING. Scanned statements need OCR, which isn't supported yet.
- The CSV uses Dutch formatting, so check your spreadsheet's import settings if you use an English locale. Or simply pick the XLSX export.
- The tool also handles Rabobank, ABN AMRO, bunq and Revolut (EUR).
